Boys State/Girls State
The Boys State/Girls State, Cadet Patrol Acadmy programs are a part of our American Legion National agenda. These programs are open to Junior high students advancing into their senior year of high school. The students qualifications are decided by their teachers and the students support comes from the American Legion. The cost to send a male student to Central State University in Warrensburg Missouri is $400, a female student is $300, and to send a boy or girl to the Missouri Cadet Patrrol Accadmy located in Jefferson City Missouri at the Missouri Highway Patrol Headquarters is $450. American Legion Post 388 is pledging to send a boy and a girl from Fort Zumwalt North, Fort Zumwalt West, Christian High, and Saint Dominic Hgh to one of these programs for the year 2017. We can not do it alone and we are asking for your support.
For a small donation of your choice sent to Post 388 we will list your name as a supporter of Boys State/Girls State. If you are a business and pledge $20 or more, we will list your business along with your web address on our web page. Ninety percent of money donated will go towards our youth. We are a 501 (c) organization and will send a receipt if requested.
